The galaxy’s most famous "Huttlet" is all grown up and looking surprisingly shredded. Empire Magazine has released the first exclusive images of Rotta the Hutt for the upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu, revealing a character that has traded his childhood nickname "Stinky" for a pair of twin blades and a muscular gladiator physique. Voiced by The Bear star Jeremy Allen White, this version of Jabba the Hutt’s son is introduced as a formidable pit fighter attempting to carve out his own legacy in the Outer Rim.

Director Jon Favreau told Empire that Rotta’s journey is inspired by a modern boxing epic. "When you’re Jabba the Hutt’s kid, what does that do? How has that affected his trajectory?" Favreau said, comparing the character’s struggle to step out of his father's shadow to that of Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed. To prepare for the role, White revealed he modulated his voice to capture Jabba’s iconic booming tones while learning to speak Huttese, though the character will primarily speak "Basic" (English) during his encounters with the titular duo.

Produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, the film marks the first Star Wars theatrical release since 2019. The story follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they are recruited by the New Republic’s Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver) for a high-stakes mission. The Mandalorian & Grogu is scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2026, featuring a score by Ludwig Göransson.
