Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain takes the screen in director Michel Franco's new erotic drama, 'Dreams,' which debuted in select U.S. theaters on February 27, 2026. This highly anticipated film, also written and produced by Franco, unravels a complex and often unsettling love story.

Chastain stars as Jennifer, a powerful American socialite, who becomes entangled in a secret affair with Fernando, a talented Mexican ballet dancer portrayed by Isaac Hernández. The narrative intensifies when Fernando, an undocumented immigrant, crosses the U.S.-Mexico border, prompting Jennifer to take extreme measures to safeguard their future together.

Clocking in at 98 minutes, 'Dreams' explores themes of power, privilege, and desire, alongside critical discussions of class divisions, racial prejudice, and immigration policies. The film, distributed in the U.S. by Greenwich Entertainment, marks Chastain's second collaboration with Franco, following their critically acclaimed 2023 feature, 'Memory.' Rupert Friend and Marshall Bell also appear in supporting roles.

Before its wider release, 'Dreams' had its world premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival on February 15, 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear. It later saw a theatrical release in Mexico on September 11, 2025, by Imagem Films.
