Mattel is bringing Eternia to store shelves well before He-Man hits the big screen. The toy giant officially announced a sprawling cross-category product line tied to the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film. Scheduled for a global retail rollout on April 25, 2026, the collection features classic action figures, high-end collector items, and even franchise-themed Barbie dolls. This merchandise blitz arrives just weeks ahead of the movie's theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
The upcoming film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela. Director Travis Knight, known for his work on Bumblebee, is at the helm of the long-awaited project. Mattel’s new lineup isn't limited to toys; the company confirmed the expansion into lifestyle categories including apparel, drinkware, and Mega building sets. According to a Mattel press release, additional product waves will continue to launch throughout the 2026 holiday season.
"Masters of the Universe is one of our most iconic franchises with a deeply loyal fan base," said Josh Silverman, Chief Franchise Officer at Mattel. The company aims to capitalize on 1980s nostalgia while introducing the brand to a new generation of viewers. With a prime summer release date and a heavy retail presence, the studio is positioning the film as a major tentpole event for 2026.
