Sharon Osbourne has officially confirmed that Ozzfest will return in 2027 to celebrate the enduring legacy of the "Prince of Darkness." In a series of interviews with The Osbournes Podcast and Louder, Sharon revealed that the festival will relaunch with a massive two-night event at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. This homecoming move brings the festival back to Ozzy’s birthplace, fulfilling a vision the couple discussed before his passing in July 2025.
The 2027 revival aims to break traditional boundaries by featuring a diverse mix of music genres alongside its heavy metal roots. Sharon told Billboard and New Noise Magazine that while the festival's heart remains rock and metal, the new format will reflect the evolving landscape of modern music. Following the initial Birmingham dates, organizers are exploring plans to expand the tour back to the United States, where the festival first gained global fame in 1996.
According to reports from Pollstar and Blabbermouth.net, the relaunch is being positioned as a grand tribute to Ozzy’s career and his lifelong commitment to highlighting new talent. While the official lineup has yet to be announced, the festival’s return marks its first major outing since the 2018 event at the The Forum in California. The 2027 dates at the historic Villa Park football stadium are expected to draw fans from across the globe.
