Canadian media powerhouse Postmedia Network Inc. and Elevation Pictures have officially joined forces. The two companies announced a strategic partnership aimed at financing, developing, and launching original Canadian feature films. This collaboration merges Postmedia’s massive national audience data with Elevation’s proven production expertise.

The first project under this new banner is "Fire Weather," a documentary commissioned by CBC. The film will utilize Postmedia’s extensive promotional reach to connect with viewers across the country. Erika Tustin, Vice President, Content Monetization at Postmedia, noted that the alliance focuses on fostering Canadian storytelling through a powerful new lens by leveraging their combined resources.

Noah Segal, Co-President of Elevation Pictures, highlighted that the partnership creates a unique pathway for domestic content to reach wider audiences. By combining Postmedia's data insights with Elevation’s filmmaking capabilities, the duo plans to bring more ambitious Canadian stories to the big and small screen. The deal marks a significant shift in how local projects are funded and marketed within the industry.
