Martin Scorsese is taking his latest production to the cobblestone streets of Northern Bohemia. The legendary director has officially expanded filming for his upcoming mystery thriller, What Happens at Night, to the historic town of Úštěk. According to reports from the Prague Reporter, the Apple Original Film production team is scheduled to begin shooting in the region in mid-March 2026.
The film brings together Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence as a couple navigating a surreal European landscape. Based on the acclaimed novel by Peter Cameron, the story follows the pair as they attempt to adopt a child while staying at a bizarre, isolated hotel. Prague Morning reports that the production has already scouted several locations across the Czech Republic to capture the book's dreamlike atmosphere.

This project marks another high-profile collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio following their work on Killers of the Flower Moon. The Times of India notes that fans have already caught glimpses of the stars during early production phases, as the crew utilizes the region's unique gothic architecture. With filming slated to continue through the spring, What Happens at Night is one of the most anticipated upcoming titles for Apple TV+.
