Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll and music service Amazon Music Unlimited are increasing their subscription prices, with changes rolling out to subscribers in early March 2026. Both platforms cited the need to continue investing in content and features as reasons for the adjustments. Anime devotees and music aficionados should prepare for slightly higher monthly bills.
Crunchyroll, owned by Sony, has increased its monthly subscription tiers by $2 across the board in the United States. Existing Fan, Mega Fan, and Ultimate Fan subscribers will see the new pricing reflected on their first billing date after March 4, 2026. The Fan Tier, previously $7.99, now costs $9.99 per month. The Mega Fan Tier rises from $11.99 to $13.99 monthly, and the Ultimate Fan Tier moves from $15.99 to $17.99 per month. This marks the first price increase for Crunchyroll's Fan Tier since 2019, though Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan tiers saw adjustments in May 2024. Crunchyroll highlighted new features like offline viewing for the Fan Tier and upcoming enhancements such as teen profiles and multiple user profiles.
Meanwhile, Amazon Music Unlimited is also adjusting its rates for individual and family plans, with these changes taking effect for existing subscribers on or after March 5, 2026. For Amazon Prime members, the individual monthly plan increases from $10.99 to $11.99. Non-Prime members will see their individual monthly plan rise from $11.99 to $12.99. The monthly Family Plan is increasing from $19.99 to $21.99, and the annual Family Plan goes from $199.00 to $219.00. This marks the second price hike for Amazon Music Unlimited within the last 12 months, as Amazon continues to invest in its vast catalog of over 100 million songs, high-quality audio, ad-free podcasts, and integrated Audible audiobooks.
