Tommy Shelby is officially back on the global stage. After a limited run in select cinemas that began on March 6, 2026, the feature-length film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is set to make its worldwide debut on Netflix this Friday, March 20. The movie, which held its world premiere on March 2, 2026, marks the long-awaited return of Cillian Murphy to his career-defining role as the Birmingham gang leader.

Directed by Tom Harper and written by series creator Steven Knight, the story leaps forward into the heart of World War II. Set in 1940, the plot finds Tommy Shelby drawn out of a self-imposed exile to confront a dangerous new threat. This time, the stakes are personal as Shelby must navigate a Nazi plot that involves his own son. Knight has previously characterized the project as a "no-holds-barred" continuation of the Shelby family saga for a global audience.

Produced by Steven Knight, Caryn Mandabach, Cillian Murphy, and Guy Heeley, the film maintains the gritty, cinematic atmosphere fans came to expect from the original BBC series. Joining Murphy are several returning cast members and new additions brought in to flesh out the wartime era of the Peaky Blinders. Following its successful premiere earlier this month, the streaming release ensures that the final chapter of Tommy’s journey reaches fans in every corner of the world.
