Zazie Beetz is swapping the gritty streets of Gotham for a blood-soaked New York City high-rise. In the upcoming horror-comedy-action flick They Will Kill You, the Joker star plays a woman who accepts a seemingly normal housekeeping job. She soon discovers the apartment building is home to a demonic cult, and her first day on the job involves a desperate fight for survival.
The project serves as the English-language debut for director Kirill Sokolov, who previously helmed the cult hit Why Don't You Just Die!. Production is backed by Nocturna Pictures and producers Andy and Barbara Muschietti, the duo behind the IT franchise. According to the Motion Picture Association, the film has already secured an R rating for bloody violence and language.
Fans won't have to wait long to see the mayhem unfold. New Line Cinema will release the film in theaters on March 27, 2026, following a world premiere at SXSW in Austin on March 17. Beetz is joined by a powerhouse ensemble cast including Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Myhaâla, and Paterson Joseph.
